September Harvest at Attyflin Estate

The start of September has proved to be an exceptionally busy time at Attyflin Estate. The mix of sun and rain during spring and summer has led to a bumper crop of beautiful Irish Katy and Irish Rosette apples as well as a selection of 10 other varieties in the 2.5 acres of walled garden and beyond in the extensive orchards. Harvesting the apples is hard work but extremely therapeutic as there is a wonderful sense of freedom being in the great outdoors and enjoying the benefits surrounded by nature. It is important that we take stock of our beautiful environment as soon we will find ourselves immersed in the pressing operation inside the factory and dreaming of spring 2020 as we press, bottle and label our award winning juices.
